It’s a good thing our schedule is very flexible. Apparently, there was a major festival going on in Munch, so there were no rooms available, at least none that we could afford. So we stayed in Prague an extra day, added a night in Regensburg and then a visit to Dachau and finally on to Munich for a quick city tour and an afternoon with new friends in the beer garden.
It turned out to be a pretty good plan as I like Prague, and it is an affordable city to be in (as long as you don’t drive in the pedestrian areas). Especially when you travel with the guide, we selected for our Prague castle tour, who apparently ignores the trolly honour system and just hops on without a ticket. We hadn’t realised how it worked before this but did buy tickets for our next trip.
