We couldn’t resist the giant M&M store on Leicester Square in central London. Once inside we found m&ms in 22 colors, plus lots of m&m fun everywhere.
As we were leaving the girls remembered the candy store in Dubai which claimed to be the world’s largest, yet this giant M&M store felt bigger to all of us. It left us wondering.
Heather is the daughter of one of my oldest friends, and she lives in London now. We met up at Trafalgar Square (feels like I am on a monopoly board), where we watched a few street performers, and even participated.
We all had dinner together at a fabulous deli called Gaby’s near Leicester Square. I really miss deli food from when I lived in the states – we have not yet found any in New Zealand, nor anywhere on our travels until now.
By walking to Gaby’s we got to pass the giant movie premiere for Men in Black 3. I would show you the photo of Will Smith, but it looks exactly like what it really is, a photo of a crowd. But we enjoyed the excitement. The “girl screams” reminded me of the Beatles clips we saw the other day at the British Music Experience.
Next was Hamley’s Toy store, with the coolest Lego display I have ever seen. This is Queen Elizabeth made out of Lego.
Then home to bed.
We enjoyed using the kindle edition of Lonely Planet Great Britain.
