My family go across the bay to Shakespear Park quite a lot, whether it’s to hike, picnic, or take pictures of smiley face crop circles. Summer in New Zealand is about halfway over now (Is it me, or are the holidays whizzing by at super speed?), and though it has been a much wetter season than most of our previous years, the sun has still succeeded in drying out the long grass, and turning it a rich, golden yellow. Personally, I love these colours. Take a look at the long grass photos I took on a hike a few days ago in the park.
* Shakespear Park is not actually a misspelling. It is the family name of the people who donated it the city of Auckland.
