I is for inlet.

An inlet along the northern coast of New Zealand

An inlet along the northern coast of New Zealand

Practical Information:

  • There is over 14,000km of coastline in New Zealand. This inlet is one of 1000’s of beautiful and peaceful spots.
  • I captured this shot through an open window at Mangonui Fish Shop in Northland, a popular spots for fish and chips on the North Coast.
  • The shot was taken looking out towards Doubtless Bay. Behind me is the large inlet of Mangonui Harbour

I’m definitely a peaceful inlet kind of gal . . . a Mangonui Fish Shop one too! We spent a few nights at anchor in that bay on more than one occasion just so we could have fresh fish and chips for dinner (the best in New Zealand).

Beautiful picture, I know Auckland and New Zealand has so much to see. One day, I hope to be able to come to New Zealand. However, there is much of the United States and Canada I have yet to visit. Perhaps, I will come one day. I have a fascination with glaciers and valleys and land carved by glaciers.
