Practical Information:

  • I took this photo in the Wintergardens on the Auckland Domain. It is a Salpiglossis from their Royale mix series.
  • New Zealand, being a relatively isolated island, has one of the richest bio-diverse flora on earth offering a wide range of flowers, with 80% of flora being native.
  • The national flower is Kowhai. If you follow me through the current challenge you will see one.

I’ver never seen that sort of flower before but my favourites are daffodils, hydrangeas, dianthus and marguerite daisies 🙂

Stunning picture! When I saw your title was flowers, I know I’d have to stop by. You (and your daughter) do such a great job with flowers. They come out so lifelike I feel I can almost smell them! 🙂

That flower is spectacularly beautiful! There is a lovely botanical garden not too far from where I live that I love to visit. And I always bring my camera. I love the flowers that are currently on my header but I have no idea what they are. They were at the gardens last summer. Lilacs are among my favorites.

I love all flowers, not sure I could pick a favorite. The color in your example so brilliant. You know how to capture color!
But I do love roses, the varieties are amazing, and as a cut flower the carnation, for it ability to last so long. It’s not very fragrant but it is lovely and come in all colors.
